If you’re not willing to question your own beliefs, you remain the warden of your own prison. – Henry G Noel
Q: You are continually referring to the evils of belief systems. What belief systems are you talking about?
A: All belief systems. Political, Religious, reality, etc. it doesn’t matter. Let’s a closer look at the two biggest belief systems controlling our lives.
The belief system of politics. Politics is simply an idea. An idea we have been taught we need and exists for our benefit. Throughout our lives, we have been taught that politics matters and our type of political system is best. A two-party system, multi-party system, socialism, fascism, communism, etc. have all been touted as the best political system. Whatever the political system, politics is not a system that exists to help or benefit you. Politics exists to control you. Politics exists for the benefit of political leaders and for no other reason. The benefits of political governments go to the representatives of the political belief system. Political ideals have been at the root of many of the conflicts throughout history, have separated us from each other, and have been instrumental in instilling fear and hatred in all of us. We read about “Government bailouts, government benefits, government subsidies.” They are all taxpayer bailouts, taxpayer benefits, taxpayer subsidies. The only monies governments have to operate with are our tax dollars and when the U.S. dollar falls from the status as the world currency, and the government can no longer print the endless supply of currency it presently does, U.S. citizens will learn first-hand just how little money the U.S. government actually has.
The belief system of Religions. Religion is simply an idea. An idea we have been taught we need and is there for our benefit. We have been taught all our lives that religion matters and our type of religious system is best. Catholic, Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Mormon, Protestant, Lutheran, etc. Whatever the religious system, religion is not a system that exists to help or benefit you. Religion exists to control you. Religion exists for the benefit of religious leaders. No other reason. The benefits of religious institutions go to the representatives of the religious belief system. Religious ideas have been at the root of many of the conflicts throughout history, have separated us from each other, and has been instrumental in instilling fear and hatred in all of us.
Can you see the similarities? I’m not saying we can govern ourselves. We are not capable of rational and logical thinking because of our egos. I’m also not saying God doesn’t exist. I’m saying God exists inside all of us, not in some edifice we have to pay homage to. Ask yourselves this, if God created everything, including itself, why would God require a human trait like ego? It’s as if the religions of the world require God to be human-like with human traits and human flaws like Ego that requires us others to worship it. I would think we should be aspiring to have God-like traits like love, caring, nurturing and creativity instead of God having human-like traits of fear, hate, discrimination, and guilt.
